Our Privacy Commitments to Children and Parents

MowMow has designed and built Services for both Adults and Children to enjoy across the world. Building on our general Privacy Policy, we recognise the need to provide additional privacy protection to Children using our Services including websites and mobile apps.

This Privacy Policy for Children provides further information on how we respect the privacy of Children that use our Services, “children”, “child”, and “kid(s)” refers to children under the age of 13, except for those jurisdictions where the privacy law specifies a different age. Also, when we use the term “parent”, we include legal guardians.

What information do we collect about Children

If a user has indicated that they are a Child when trying to create a MowMow account, we will collect a parent’s email address and obtain verifiable parental consent before allowing the Child to provide any additional personal information in the use of our Services. See below to learn how we seek parental consent.

Once we obtain parental consent, a Child can use our services much like any other user. And we may collect from the Child the same types of personal information, and use and share that information for the same purposes, as described in our general Privacy Policy.

How do we use and share the personal information that we collect from Children?

As noted above, once we obtain parental consent, a Child can use our Services much like any other user. And we may collect from the Child the same types of personal information, and use and share that information for the same purposes, as described in our general Privacy Policy, unless otherwise specified in this Supplemental Child’s Privacy Statement.

Note that some Services may enable a Child to publicly disclose personal information and/or communicate with other users. We do not have control over third parties (e.g., other users) who may have copied or reposted publicly posted information.

Until we receive verifiable parental consent, the parent’s contact information gathered from a Child is used only to obtain the parent’s consent for our information collection practices.

With parental consent, we may also use a Child’s contact information to send the Child notifications, emails and messages with marketing information about new products and features, special offers, contests, as well as other interesting information concerning new products, events, and updates about MowMow. Parents can always choose whether their Child may receive these marketing messages by visiting their account profile settings or by contacting us.

MowMow shares children’s personal information with the same entities and for the same purposes described in the general Privacy Policy.

How do we notify and obtain consent from parents for the collection of personal information from their Children?

When a Child seeks to register and sign-up to our Services, we will email their parent. This email notifies the parent that their child wishes to register, and it asks the parent to grant consent for their child to register. If the parent ignores or refuses to register their child, we will delete the child’s contact information within 14 days of such notice. If the parent permits the registration, we will grant the child access to the features described in the email and this Privacy Statement.

Parents can revoke their consent at any time by contacting us

How can parents access, change, or delete personal information about their children?

A parent may request to access, change or delete the personal information that we have collected from their child at anytime by contacting us.

The parent should include their child’s MowMow username and the parent’s email address in the email so that we can better assist with the inquiry or request.
